Eines der führenden Rallye-Teams der Welt, das M-Sport World Rally Team, nimmt an der World Rallye Championship 2019 teil, die diesen Monat in Monte Carlo beginnt. Unterstützt wird es von Ford Trucks mit seiner neuen Sattelzugmaschine F-MAX, Trägerin des Preises „International Truck of the Year 2019“.
Ford Trucks Assistant CEO Serhan Turfan erläutert, wie Ford Trucks den weltweiten Motorsport bis heute unterstützt: „Als internationaler Hersteller investieren wir in den Motorsport und unterstützen ihn. Der Countdown zum Saisoneröffnungsrennen der World Rallye Championship (WRC) 2019 in Monte Carlo hat begonnen. Die Rallye Monte Carlo findet vom 24.–27. Januar 2019 statt, und Ford Trucks stellt dafür seine F-MAX Sattelzugmaschine bereit, die 2019 als „International Truck of the Year“ (ITOY) ausgezeichnet wurde, um das M-Sport World Rally Team zu unterstützen. Die World Rallye Championship 2019 ist eine kräftezehrende Serie von 14 Rennen, die am 24. Januar in Monte Carlo startet, gefolgt von der Rallye Schweden am 14. Februar. Nach den Rennen in Mexiko, Frankreich, Argentinien, Chile, Portugal und Italien in der ersten Jahreshälfte geht die WRC-Saison 2019 am 4. August nach der Sommerpause mit der Rallye Finnland weiter. Im Anschluss an die Rallye Deutschland am 22. August findet die Rallye Türkei vom 12. bis 15. September 2019 statt. Nach Rennen in Großbritannien und Spanien endet die Saison im November mit der Rallye Australien. Explaining that Ford Trucks supports motor sports across the globe, Ford Trucks Assistant CEO, Serhan Turfan, went on to say: "Ford Trucks is one of the largest manufactures in the international heavy commercial vehicles market, and we bring together 60 years of truck-building experience with our ability to develop products which meet the needs of the market. As we continue to grow in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, as an international brand, we also invest in and support motorsports. In this scope, our first partnership was with the Ford GT racing team at the FIA World Endurance Championship, and we've been supporting them for the past three years. During this partnership, four of our vehicles have been used to provide transport services t o Ford GT during the championship. VDR Trucks Racing is another rally team we’ve supported. They raced a Ford Trucks vehicle for the first time at the 2019 Dakar Rally. We’re continuing to support motor sports through the contract signed with M-Sport last September. Ford Trucks will support the M-Sport World Rally Team with our new F-MAX tractor vehicle, winner of the “2019 International Truck of the Year (ITOY)” award. We’re incredibly proud to be supporting a team as successful as this. We thank M-Sport for choosing the F-MAX, and we wish them every success at the World Rally Championship.
