The WEC picks up where the world-famous Intercontitental Le Mans Cup left off, and with its 14-month “super season” taking place this year for the first time across 9 countries, it promises to be an unforgettable experience for race-lovers. The series of races will push drivers and their cars to the limits of endurance, and will come to an end with the world’s oldest endurance race, 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Ford Trucks is the official vehicle carrier and uniform sponsor for all 9 races:
The Prologue, France, 6 April 2018,
6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, 3 May 2018,
24 Hours of Le Mans, France, 16 June 2018,
6 Hours of Silverstone, United Kingdom, 17 August 2018,
6 Hours of Fuji, Japan, 12 October 2018,

and the final race, 24 Hours of Le Mans, France, 15 June 2019.
During this year’s unprecedented 14-month “super season”, Ford Trucks isn’t just responsible for transporting vehicles for the championship, it’s also the uniform sponsor for the event, making it a partner on multiple levels.
The races to take place in 9 locations across the world, including the 6-hour race on the SPA-Francorchamps track in Belgium, and the gruelling 24 Hours of Le Mans in France, will push drivers and their cars to the limit. This season’s race calendar features some of the world’s most prestigious and historic tracks, and this year will include the Sebring International Raceway in Florida USA for the first time since 2012.
The WEC takes over from the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, which began in 2010, and is the only competition to be considered a world championship in endurance racing since 1992. In endurance races, drivers compete day and night to try and cover the most distance on the track.
